In this book the most interesting part to me was when Gatta talked about Anne Bradstreet and her characterization of humans as amphibians. Also the way she mentioned that humans belonged and did not belong to nature.
They are also emersed in nature, but at the same time are seperated due to culture. Nature and the enviroment go hand in hand because our culture depends on the enviroment, and the tools that we need to use to survive. Humans can go into nature and experience nature but can never be apart of nature. We always have a cultural barrier that seperates us. In order to become nature I would think one must go into the wild with nothing, no clothes, no shoes, no tools, and live there. That would be the only way that a human could understand living in nature.
