Jason Martin "You Can't Depict God"

"Above all, Thoreau insisted that "God," if authentically divine and transcendent, must transcend all human images and descrption." This excerpt from chapter 6 of making nature sacred isnt really antything special but it made me realize. For the most part, there are not many pictures in the world depicting God. For example, everywhere you go, you can see Jesus, but normally there are none of God himself. Not saying this is wrong i've just never really noticed it. Other than the Sistine Chapel roof painting by Michelangelo can i ever remember seeing God depicted. I wonder what he looks like?
