Jason Parham, Why is the hard path to a destination better than the easy path?
Why does god let the Hebrews wander in the desert for forty years when the walk from Egypt to the Promised Land would have only taken 3 days? Why walk a trail when you can take a car? It is because the hard way makes you earn it, this does two things; first it gives you pride in accomplishing something and secondly, it was so hard to accomplish it it makes you not want to go back or forget what you have learned. If the Hebrews would have just walked for three days and ended their journey they would have had no respect for their accomplishment, but the worst thing would have been they would not have had a problem with going back to Egypt if things went bad in Israel, they learned to respect their journey so much because it was hard and they would have felt it wasted if they wanted to go back. If you have to do or learn something the hard way it makes it more important you learn through having to persevere, And a lessen learned through difficulty becomes a more important lesson.
